Welcome! I would like to share my story of moving from the US to the country of Georgia and adapting to life there, hoping to help someone else who wants to do the same and make this challenging transition easier for them. There are plenty of travel blogs out there, this is not one of them. I’d like to focus on the experience of actually moving to live in a new country and everything that this entails.
To use this site effectively, I am going to categorize posts to make it easy to focus on a topic of interest to you, or you can read posts chronologically. Comments are disabled, please use Contact Us to get in touch if you have suggestions, would like to collaborate on something and so on (Telegram may be the easiest and the most effective). Moving from the US to Georgia is a bit like traveling back in time – the pace of life is different, you tend to focus on different things based on the local culture and I noticed expats living there are enjoying life more than in western lifestyles.
With that comes a different approach to most aspects of life in Georgia, which may be difficult to figure out for a foreigner. So with this blog I’d like to share my experiences, and based on these you can consider if Georgia is right for you to move to, and if you do – will be helpful to adopt to the local way of doing things.
I will share my thoughts and experiences in the blog posts (press Blog link on top right). I will endeavor to provide my recommendations that may be helpful at the end of each post.
Since this is my 1st time trying this kind of a project, I will experiment with various formats and platforms – and use viewers’ feedback to fine tune. So hit that Contact Us page and get in touch to share your feedback!
